Engineers at Hewlett-Packard Co.'s Corvallis campus have teamed up with colleagues at OSU to develop a new technology they hope will make solar panels twice as efficient as traditional models at half the cost. The technology is based on John Wager’s work in transparent electronics. Read about this new technology.

Birth of a Company. If there’s a poster child that represents how investment in OSU Engineering becomes economic impact, i5Logic, a software firm that was birthed and incubated in the Kelley Engineering Center, is surely it. Software that Organizes Intelligently. The heaps of information piling up virtually on today's computers present a major organizational problem for many people. A soon-to-be-released product called Smart Desktop, from a division of Pi Corporation, aims to help people sort that information automatically and intelligently. MIT Technology Review article.
